Martin reported that turnout for the runs had been as expected. There had been a good number on the first run of the season to Cleethorpes and good attendance at the camping weekend. Only Paul, the run leader showed up for the Breakfast Run and only 3 for the Bike Shop Run, including Graham who led.
It was agreed to arrange runs in 2008 with similar frequency to this year. Paul and Martin to suggest runs they would like to organise.
It was decided to organise the following events:
January 13th Winter Walk in Derbyshire
February 16th Curry Night
March 16th Chinese Buffet Lunch
All current Committee Members expressed a willingness to continue with their current roles and responsibilities, although due to time constraints and other commitments, it was agreed to try to keep all aspects of Club administration as simple as possible, including the website and other communications. Phil to keep website updated with events and Mel to organise refurbishment of the Royal Oak notice board. Faced with a decline in membership, efforts will be renewed in 2008 to attract new members.
The 2007 Christmas Meal is to be held at the Whitehouse Restaurant with 20 members having booked to attend. The LEBC Trophy and £20 will be awarded to the winner, with a bottle of wine for runner-up and 3rd place.
Interest has been expressed and deposits been taken for the tour being organised to Switzerland/Italy/German Black Forest.
It was agreed that more frequent communications were required. Graham’s views will be sought on the future format/distribution of the mag.
